Rahana, Owner and Belly Dancer, adopted the old Tribal Bazaar store on the Venice Beach boardwalk from long time friends and business associates, Georgette and Jesse, in January of 2007, which is now called
"The Velvet Gypsy".  This shop has been an icon on the boardwalk for over 10 years and Rahana will continue to build it's positive reputation. The Velvet Gypsy specializes in products from the Middle East and India. Items are hand-picked by Rahana as she considers the desires of long time customers, and the need to add new and exciting products. Our emphasis is on culturally inspired gifts and jewelry, while maintaining our clothing options to include trends of the latest season, in addition to our newest line of urban dance & street wear.

Belly Dance costumes and accessories are abundant in our shop as we cater to hundreds of Belly Dancers from around the world, both Tribal & Cabaret.  We carry full costumes as well as various coin bras, hip scarves, choli tops, skirts, bindis, afghani jewelry and more.  Dancers can also visit our on-line sister store which offers a variety of Belly Dance costumes, accessories, dvd's, music and more.... www.DancingRahana.com
